ENGLISH
DEPARTMENT
Head Of Department -
Aims and
Objectives
|
The faculty aims at, firstly, extending a child’s emotional
range through the means of imaginative entertainment; secondly, suggesting
certain human values; and thirdly encouraging the habit of reading,
listening, and thinking critically and analytically – a habit which will
benefit him beyond the English classes. These aims are part of English. To
restrict the subject to language and communication is only rather a betrayal.
There is a twin growth going on. We believe in motivating the students to
inquire themselves into the material given, and into
much else besides. Questioning and curiosity are considered the most valuable
qualities along with hard work. |
